Field Ecologist | Conservation Scientist
Understanding ecosystems is the first step towards protecting them.
Understanding ecosystems is the first step towards protecting them.
My research combines field ecology, laboratory science and interdisciplinary collaboration to investigate how environmental change affects wildlife and ecosystems.
Although much of my recent research has focused on marine ecosystems, my interests and experiences extend across ecology, zoology and conservation science. I enjoy applying scientific thinking to new species, ecosystems and environmental challenges.
Combining laboratory science, data analysis and interdisciplinary research to understand environmental change and its impacts on wildlife and ecosystems.
Designing and delivering ecological research in natural environments, from wildlife monitoring and habitat assessment to long-term field studies.
Applying scientific evidence to improve our understanding of ecological systems and support informed conservation, policy and environmental management.
Understanding how environmental contaminants move through ecological systems and influence wildlife health, with a particular focus on marine ecosystems and ecotoxicology.
Investigating how microplastics, PFAS and heavy metals are transferred from female sea turtles to developing embryos, providing new insights into contaminant exposure before hatchlings even emerge.
Designing and delivering collaborative field research across Panama, Spain and the United Kingdom, combining ecological monitoring with laboratory science and applied conservation.
